Retirement
Just think of it as helping Yamaha and the Japenese economy out at the same time.
And to be fair, Yamaha are throwing in a special edition sticker. :icon_wink: |
It's not the bike for me but then I havnt got 13.5 grand to spend. However after a chat with my local dealer (bike) I can see why its this price well I can see a bit. The Yam pries have shot up he thinks the rest of the Big 4 will follow. He pointed out that for the money it is good to go no hidden extras to fork out on etc.
Hopefully Ray will get one and let us all know what its like. I can't imagine their will be many demo bikes available this year. I think Yamaha have room in the range now for What a lot of us want which is basically the 660 but with a bit more oomph The TDM engine would work a treat. If they keep the 660's looks and charged 1500 quid more it would be a winner. It would go head to head with the BMW 800 gs and spank it |
TDM is a stonking bike, but went to roady IMHO

I nearly fell over...
When I was chatting to the dealer yesterday, he mentioned that one customer has ordered one.........
Now, despite my own reservations about the bike (not least that I view it as a lie, as we were promissed something else, or at least that is how I viewed all the hype) I have to say the fella has got balls, (or lots and lots of money) ordering a bike sight unseen and never even sat on it. It's in the spirit of adventure to do that. and I might even have a little tinkle on the Multistrada next weekend too... just out of interest...... |
