Have refitted the seat to get an idea of where my army rucksack panniers are going to sit on the bike then i will sort out the brackets for the removable "stuffa bag" holders. 2x 60LTR bags on the side of the bike and one 90LTR bag across the back seat. Should be enough room for all my weekend beer and a jar of pickled eggs........ (dont get me started about pickled bloody eggs.....) pride of place on the Crusty Desert Nomad version of the pannier rails has been given to charcoal storage!!!! Have even bought a burner similar to yours so we can keep REALLY toasty at the Dragon next year mate.... How do you rate your tent? As they have them for �39 at Go Outdoors, but i thought i would check with you as to how easy they are to put up and how much room you get in them?

It's the secret weapon of the Thumper Club,,, they bring it out when you least expect it....

It's quite unbelievable how long one of those bags of charcoal can last, but how much comfort they give.
The tent is a bit more fiddly to fit up but the extra space is brilliant especially if you want to get your panniers and luggage inside if the weather is inclement. I really got mine for the summer as I wanted something less cloustrophobic but I will use it during the winter now as It's much easier to get into and the front / side opening combo is a real bonus.
As regards the pickled eggs, the idea when totally sober doesn't really get me exited, but with a bucket full of beer in the old belly, when Simon brings out that Huge jar of pickled eggs it's a real mouthwatering treat until............................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .the next morning!:hcrap::surrender:blowup:smilies0979:

Has been feckin cold this weekend so i have had the gas heater on in the garage to stop me freezing to death while i finished one set of Desert nomad panniers.......

Welded an extra loop onto the simple pannier rail to carry the "stuffa bag" brackets...

You will notice 3 small pieces of 10mm tube welded onto the pannier hanger, these are locating points the hanger brackets so they can be removed when not in use....
