Can anyone tell me how much taller it is than the production screen? I just want to put up a makeshift one to see if it makes enough of a difference. :)

Hey Alex I've been using the MM screen on mine since I got it last year. It's a slight improvement on the stock on, but I formed a flip into mine using a heat gun to try and improve things further. It's still not great and the Tenere is by far the noisiest bike I've owned. You can just make out the flip in this pic-

I think a lot of the buffeting is coming up through the forks like on the BM GS's

Am doing a smallish trip this weekend so I'll test mine out, but all feedback is good.

Much better than the Yam original but not as good as my gaffer taped on lash up, looks a lot better though.

Agree with Big Den re the buffeting. I used to get the same on my Fazer but it isn't too obtrusive.

This week I have had a new tall screen made for the Tenere. It seems to be
better than the previous pne

I am after one for two reasons to cut down on buffeting and give more room for the TT satnav bracket as i need it tilting higher and cannot as it hits the screen. looking at the photo's here they all look to be the same distance from the clocks

Just bought one from metal mule because they are the cheapest and it fits perfect 49 + 6.50 delivery

Jasext - what height is the MM one? I did a small trip up to Teesside yesterday and got battered around quite a bit, so I'll probably just get the tallest one I can find.

BS-Motoparts have one at 48cm, but it's quite pricey and Givi do one though I can't find any stats for it, or the price for that matter.

The MM tall screen is around 85mm taller than stock. It will make a bit of a difference but not huge.

Has any one who has fitted a tall screen found that it improves things?
i get a drumming noise from my standard one wich gives me a headache , so i need to change but dont know which would be the best option?
I took the screen off completly today and it was much better without it so maybe cutting down the standard maybe the way to go?
any thoughts? ta.

or even..............is anyone brave enough to put some holes in the original screen to help with this problem we're all having with the buffeting.
which reminds me i need to get some food on....:teaandcake[1]:
