Avon Distanzia. ...a brilliant tyre!, Total confidence in the wet, fine for green landing. I'd rather take a tumble off road than on!! Steve

I have also put in mefo heavy duty inner tubes as after my flat of last year, I have this great fear of being stranded with a flat tyre in a remote location.

How do yer find tyres with inline nobb patten ???...

I have noticed they can be a bit prone to sliding
in the corners.. I like the side nobbs to be staggered..

Now run Heidenau's K60 Scouts(third set!), but will try the Avon Trail Rider next time. I am very happy with the Scouts, great on dry and wet roads, also good on gravel roads. Good handling, good mileage too(all sets around 20.000km's!). But because I don't do offroad that much, I'd like to try a more road orientated tyre like the Avon Trail Rider.

Soon to be riding avon distanzia's on my xtx. Currently have a set on order at my local bike shop. Tyres I've used up until now have been the original ones the bike came with.

Never noticed an lack of grip from them, so am eager to see how the Avons compare

I found the Mitas E07 back tyre lasted only just over 3000km and changed it for Pirelli MT90. Very good on tar and quite good off road.
At 4800km I now also had to change the front Conti TKC80 and fitted a Dunlop D606 which will get tried out on a long trip in a few days.
