that perticular build is ment to rev high and pull hard on the higher rpm, we use in at the dunes Hill racing approx 600-700 ft length.. in its application we only use 6000 rpm and up

Hi all...
Just back from the Dyno Center....

My -04 XTR with ECU -00 has the following mods:
PCIII
K&N air filter
DNA2
Removed snorkel
GPR cans with baffel in
-1 front sprocket

The result was a little bit lower than expected but it all depending how the Dyno is calibrated....
But the AF value is set to 13,8 on throttle position lower than 20% and rpm less than 4000. Just to get increased MPG..
Otherwise AF is set to 13,2.

Even though the AIS was plugged it back fired quite a LOT !! But it sound SO good..

I hope I can take it for a test ride this weekend.....

Nice work, my XT's A/F ratio is set to 13.6:1 from 0 to 5% throttle openings across the rev range as 13.2:1 is to rich for the XT at part throttle openings.

The reason is 13.2:1 is to rich that low down Yamaha built an accelerator pump action into the mapping & it dumps a whole lot of fuel into the cylinder under sudden acceleration & at 13.2:1 it is to rich to burn off the fuel at low rpms.

Your 2004 00 ECU is a twin spart ECU & will still back fire a little even with the AIS blocked off.

Your bike should be nice & smooth now.

OK, but have to ask....

Twin spark (I guess youre meening spark) ECU?? Meening what??

And yes there is some backfiring still, even if AIS is plugged... But I actually like it!!

Twin spark means the ignition fires every 360 degrees of crank rotation, single spark it fires every 720 degrees.

So a twin spark motor fires twice for every one power stroke of the crankshaft.

Very nice.:bbq[1]:

I was also on the dyno the other day with my SMR, got some base runs before I start to mod my bike. The KTM has unreal HP & torque for a motard which is similar in weight to the XTX.

-Metalmule exhaust
-DNA stage 1
-OTR air box side with drilled holes

But i had hoped for more :(
What do you guys think? Does it look okey?
