Well having read that i feel quite ashamed of this list ( you lucky swines):southpark: but I dont regret the fun and good times I have had on all, and all where/are ridden all year round and with my luck that usually means Ice, snow , dark, wet and gale force wind and the odd day of sun to keep me keen!
Suzuki AP 50 (de-restricted woo hoo!) Honda Cub 90 (it was free!) Vespa 125 ( company vehicle) MZ TS250 ( 'notha 2 stroke, built from bits, great bike and frustrating in equal meassure, nothing a hammer didnae fix!) Cagiva Planet 125 (33bhp 2 stroke, best fun ever, shamed many a weekend GXRBladeRR riders!!) I miss it so! Suzuki SV650s ( current bike and very underestimated, does all, well almost) Xt 660Z Tenere (......eh,soon) all very different but finally homeing in on my Ideal bike. Having done a few yamaha off road days I got the bug again and want to get back to my roots off-road, and make my touring that wee bit more interesting hence the XT!! |

1st bike was a suzuki GSX750f
Then it was a Huyabusa 1300 Honda XR600 (off road use only) Then a Yamaha R1 (03 plate) (stolen) Then another Yamaha R1 (04 plate) Part exchanged the R1 for GSXR1000 k7 new (ringed) Met police seized bike after year and half of having it. Bike still had the full titanium carbon oval Yoshimura race exchast, PC3, CRG levers, K&N filter, Suzuki crash buns, front and rear crash buns. Lost the GSXR+ R1 and 4000 in cash, wasn't covered by insurance for theft by deception, felt like killing someone! Now XT660X 09 plate and now I'm happier than pig in SH!T lol |
May as well add my list to the mix:
Honda C90 - The bike that started the addiction and the bike that I used to actually learn to ride. Bought one having never ridden before and had to teach myself how to ride on the 3 mile trip home on it! Yamaha DT125 - Bought to ride with L Plates when I decided to actually do my bike test. Kawasaki ZX6R - Bought after I passed my bike test and decided I was the next Valentino Rossi. Yamaha Thundercat - Bought after I decided that my bum deserved better than the ZX6R. Yamaha Fazer 600 - Can't remember why I bought this one as I still had the Thundercat at the time, but I tended to ride the Fazer more. Aprillia Pegaso - Replaced the Thundercat, my first foray into Dual Sport style bikes. BMW F650 - Bought after I bent the Pegaso. Yamaha Fazer 600 - Bought to replace the previous one which was a few years old by then. Cagiva Mito 125 - Bought as a road bike just for a laugh, but after I realised I was riding like a tool on it all the time I decided to race it instead, although this largely consisted of me spending more time rebuilding the rather highly strung engine than actually racing the thing. Honda Trans Alp 650 - Bought because I realised that all I really wanted was a Dual Sports bike after all, about three months after I bought this Yamaha announced the new Tenere, was not a happy bunny. Yamaha XTZ660 Tenere - Best bike I have ever owned bar none! |
