If that is the tyre that Capt-wobbly is reccomending to everybody, why is it different from what he is running??????:confused2: :confused2: :confused2:

The Capt has another Avon on. Not sure of its name but Its not a distanzia. I think his rear is a Distanzia. Judging by his pictures in the gallery?

Yeah the front one is an Avon ProXtreme Rain, bloody good value for money, it's still going after I have forgotten how many rear ones... but I will eventually get a front Distanzia like the one in Tony's pic when my current one is finally worn.

fitted both my avons yesterday, all worn in just been out and done near 150 miles, i feel more confident on these ones more than any other tyre i've had, got it down thurther on a roundabout more than I have done before, and with me g/f on the back!

So Darrell the verdict is?

I like them I like them a lot! :smile[2]:

thanks for bringing these tyres into my life Fran:icon_thumleft:

tried and tested mate, my pleasure entirely :D Darrell make a note of the mileage and keep it somewhere safe, I would be interested to see how long they last you, and then perhaps we can make a thread comparing with other makes to see what everyone gets in terms of mileage from the various makes of tyres.

I like mine to. FM when yours were fitted did they need balancing? My front one did not but after a good run out and possibly due to the fact it replaced a slick Pirelli Dragon it is not out of balance as such but is not as smooth as the Pirelli was.

I know to some extent this will improve as it scrubs and wears.

A definate improvement over the Pirelli in terms of handling.

Funnily enough I took my GF out to Boxhill on the bike yesterday and I got the bike down further than ever on a few bends with her on the back, great tyres! Thanx Fran
