Or are you talking about Avon ProXtreme Rain?

Talking about the Distanzia's. Had a look, they look very nice (not to knobly). Now I have seem them on an X along with the mega positive comments on them this is the tyre I am going to change to.

My front is almost ready for a change so I shall start calling local dealers for a price.

Many thanks.

FM - Nice price. I need a front ASAP. I have just measured my front and it is right on the limit is places. Not that I will use the same fitting company but what would you expect to pay for a pro to fit the supplier tyres?

I'm gonna order from these as I dont think anyone will match that price locally to me.

i don't pay anything I just take me wheels off and give tyres and wheels to a mate to sort. just have to take them to local tyre fitters for balancing which costs 5

but if i went down to me local tyre fitting gaff it would cost me about 20-30 i think for the pair

My front tyre is now on order also. Cheers for the link. I have also ordered a front paddock stand and a few other bits and bobs. Nice site will use again.

Got a few quotes today. The best price for fitting a new tyre complete with balancing and VAT was 12. I have to take the wheel in off the bike which is what I prefer as I hate other people messing with my pride & joy. Nice thing is I ride/drive past it every day for work. How ace is that?
Get a good price off the net via a tip from FM then get a local fitting place to do the specialist bit.

Well chuffed. The power of the forum strikes again!

I have the 14mm size (phew). I recently purchased is as part of a set at a local motor factors. It is the type that is attached to a socket so can be connected to a torque wrench.

Yipeee.

Ok got the new front Avon Distanzia fitted this morning and then I have just refitted the front wheel back on to the bike.

Couple of things. Its a pleasure to work on the XT everything is so easy to work on. The manual supplied by the Capt is ace.

Secondly nice looking tyre. Once I have watched the Moto GP I shall be out on the beast scrubbing it in.

I have attached a nice clear picture of it for anyone who is interested.

Sweet!
