I had a TKC on the front and a K60 on the rear. Decent combination for anything other than mud (but as OP said, nowhere near as good on-road as Tourances/Siracs etc), but I didn't get anything like the life out of the rear that has been reported on ADV Rider. But mine was a 130 section rear, and I think I can remember reading (but can't now find) a thread in which someone said that the 140 section is a different construction, almost a completely different tyre that happens to have the same tread pattern.

thanks for that it is confusing ..i was myself

the k60 and k 60 scout are different tyres
the scout has a deeper tread and pattern on front and rear

it would follow that it may be different in compound or construction as it certaily doing a lot more miles than the k60 according to the threads

theres no problem on the scouts with road holding at all ..im skipping along cold wet roads 50 60 70 80 and can only conclude they are different in compound

its the scout that has been getting the the best feedback but its only available in the 140 ..which is what i fitted

to be honest id have fitted a 120 but again not available in the scout
ive not noticed any problems handling with the wider rear ..thus far anyway

ill come back when ive done a couple of k more and report on wear
which on this bike aint gonna take long i really do enjoy riding it :sunny::sunny:

heres a 130 k60 rear

This is how my normal K60 tire looks like.
Doesn't look like your first picture.

@minkyhead: Do i read "Mitas" on the first picture? Maybe the wrong picture?

I do also run a K60 Scout since this autumn. Due to the very early snow this year i cannot tell too much about it, but i noticed that at first i've had no real confidence in it at all. This was mainly because of some irritating reviews i've read in forums like this. I gained more confidence in it the more i tested it. Especially during rain and on wet grass (i have to ride a 23% hill down and up if i want to leave home, with pebbles, grass and tarmac)
All i can say is that the tyre probably does a better job on- and offroad than i do. So far the tyres haven't let me down yet, and it doesn't look like they'll do in the next 5000 km.

dam your right i lifted it off adv rider .. hopfully you can see why i made the mistake

nelises are the one this is from the heindau website

Thanks for this, might try these, cheap enough, currently at 136 for the pair, if they last 6k I'd be happy. Then I can have a ceremonial tourance burning party, or just chuck em in a ditch, which is where they seem to want to live.

Hi at all.
I must ask you some question about K60 Scout! I'm interesting it, but I didn't find much about wet and rain tarmac and their mileage.
Now I have a pair of anakee2, great on wet and rain tarmac, end used for more than 16.000km. I'm searching something more off-road (only a bit) but without problem during raining drive.
Thank's to all
