You can do it in Google Earth.

Here is a thread I published last year to convert Google Earth routes to a Garmin GPS but some stuff in it should help.
It realy depends what you want to do with it.

You could just draw a route ("Add Path" icon) in GE and then hit the "Prt Sc" key and then "paste" the picture into a convenient program for saving to Photobucket (or whatever you use) for publishing.

Sorry Ray the [sarcasm] ... [/sarcasm] tags didn't work very well. It was just a ploy to introduce my 'cloudy badge'.

GULGo provided a splendid marked OS to the participants which even I as a non-MicroSoft� Windows user and non-Garmin owner could follow.

(btw mebbe my Ubuntu Firefox is not working but I can't find the link in your post - see - I can even get lost on a web page!!)
