Previous Owner Disconnected the AIS....

I have a 2004 XT660R - totally standard or so i thought.

It has an "00" ECU, and also the old type TPS. The TPS is down for a warranty replacement, just waiting for the new part to come into stock.

I noticed the other day that the AIS has been unplugged electrically from behind the horn. I dont know if the pipes have been blocked or not.

What would happen if i was to plug it back in? Would the bike run leaner?

As it stands i have no surging at all, though the bike does pop and what not on the overrun. Any advise guys??
