Oh yes, loud and clear Captn' - huge great pictures!

I'm very interested in this set up (particularly after my recent dirty box issue) Dino - I presume it is possible for a dealer to hook up the workshop computer and adjust the stock Yamaha ECU to correct the fueling mixture, or does it have to be in conjunction with a power-commander?

I have some (serious) plans for when I get back to the UK, and this will include a custom exhaust system too. I'll be in touch...

Concerning fueling, you have 2 options:

A) Check it on the dyno.
B) Check it on the road using a Wide Band lamda, Dynojet or any other brand.

I hope the above helped you.

Hi Dino, could you tell me when the stage 3 is coming out for the Tenere and also do we get a forum discount? :grouphug5:, I was going to fit the stage 2 BUT I would like to know what the difference will be between them and the extra cost involved if any

Nice thoughts let me explain.
DNA has developed the Stage 2 air box cover TC-Y6E08-S2 for the XT 660 Z as a bolt on replacement cover, that in combination with the DNA filter R-Y6E08-01 will highly increase the air flow to the engine and at the same time provides maximum filtering.
The result in air flow is Massive! +56, 82% from stock. The stock intake (snorkel) flows 73,26 cfm @ 1,5 H2O, and the DNA Stage 2 intake 114,9 cfm!
So if you are going to use the above combination and allow +56,82% of air to enter your air box, you MUST check fueling and re-program your fuel injection, it is common sense.
DNA as a serious and very professional company informs all customers that purchase the Stage 2 Air box Cover, including an instruction sheet with every cover.
As you can see we provide all the necessary info with our products, first of all to protect you the customer from damaging your engine and us the manufacturer against product liability.
And by the way, we do not recommend using the XT 660 Z DNA Stage 2 air box cover with other Manufacturers filters, it is brought to our attention that it will not seal properly allowing dirt to pass thru towards the clean side of the air box.
I hope the above answers you questions,
Looking forward to hear from you,
Dino

Hi Dino,

I have an XTZ with Apropovik exhausts. I have just bought the DNA air box cover and realised that I need some kind of fuel mod prior to fitting it. As this is the case I thought I might as well go to the full stage 3 mod (air filter and snorkel replacement). To get the best out of this mod am I right in thinking that I will need a power commander? Also is there a fuel map available for this configuration?

Regards

Colin

DNA XTZ STAGE (2)3 complete air box MOD

Hi Colin,
Thank you for choosing DNA.
We can provide maps for all the configurations, just let me know; also you can use the map Freeze made when tested the XTZ S3.
The XTZ S3 configuration completely transforms the XTZ, you will love it!
Keep me updated,
Best regards,
Dino
