Looking at the pictures of the tank bag on the Greek Ten ( http://www.moto.gr/forums/showthread...54#post1315554 ) I notice he has SW frames, I need to ask some questions about the frame. Could anyone with any info on that bike drop me a PM

Cheers

Quicklock has a ring mount right on the tank cap, and the tankbag would have the male/female mount to snap into the ring on the tank cap, so the tank bag would not even touch the tank. I have two on my old BMWs, and yes they are a great system and the quality of the bag is better than stock BMWs IMHO. But the system doesn't work on Tenere because a) they don't have the ring that fits the new 5-screws system on the new Tenere, and b) position of the ignition key hole would be in the way of the tankbag. It's really a shame.

Personally, because of the short tank area and the position of the ignition key that makes it hard to find a proper tankbag, I find it claustrophobic to mount any tankbag which inevitably gets into the front part of the seat area. I had a Held square-shaped tankbag which I thought its shape and size would fit well enough to the Tenere and I rode with it for 7000km, but I just find it obtrusive optically and limits my movements of standing up/sitting down.

yes they do! I have one mounted on my Tenere. I wanted to use the tankbag that I had for my suzuki SV (sport type bag) but when mounted the only direction the tenere goes is straight forward. Problems with steering.:037:
My girlfriends trail type tankbag works better. To solve this problem I ordered the touratech luggage rack to mount the ring on. The tankbag becomes a tailbag.

Baglux

Here's a link to the Tenere baglux tank cover:
http://www.bagster.com/en/showroom.p...8&id_moto=5204
Unfortunately, it doesn't show it on the bike.

I think so, it all seems linked. Anyone else know for sure?

Famsa tankbags

Ive used Famsa tankbags before from Winding roads. There the same make as Touratech used to supply.

I emailed the guy regards a bag for the new Tenere and here's what he sent me.

From experience there well made and not too bad a price either.

Heres a link.

Sorry but you are wrong.....
Here (http://www.moto.gr/forums/showthread...&pagenumber=18) you can find pics of the locking system. As you can see its a 4 screws system.
And here (http://www.mo-tech.de/produkt/?produkt_id=1783) is the tankbag that fits with it

That's great. I wasn't aware of the 4-screw system they have. So that "GS" tankbag also fits? Do you still have a pic with the tankbag on, the old link doesn't seem to work anymore? So that tankbag doesn't get in the way of the ignition key I reckon?? IF so, I would have to add it to my christmas stockings :)
