L'ECU e' situato dietro il pannello nero all sinistra della moto (lato pedale cambio) Il pannello immediatamente al di sotto della sella quello con la chiave per aprire la sell se mi capisci.

Kev Max wants to know what is the diameter of the bore where the barrell meets the bottom end. on the original motor that is.

Cheers

I cant remember, I would have to ask Kev2 he may still have it writen down some where.

The XT660 cylinder is 108mm & the Raptor cylinder is 110mm. It may have had a air gap of .45mm around the sleave I will check with Kev2.

grazie

questo quello scritto sulla mia ECU

5VK - 8591A - 01
112100 - 1872
12V TBDF08

da quello che capisco il carter motore 108
sto cercando una camicia del cilindro che entri nei carter senza allargare ci sono delle possibilit ?

grazie di tutto :icon_salut:

Kev maxx says hs ecu reads the following:

5VK - 8591A - 01
112100 - 1872
12V TBDF08

Also he is asking if it is possible to find a larger barrel that will fit into the bottom end without it being bored.

I know I am getting a bit bored of this though :applause:

I would not even consider a 660 raptor piston.

Both the Xt660 and raptor 660 uses a 100mm bore, so the piston will fit (not sure about stroke), but the 660 raptor uses a 5 valve head while the XT660 uses a 4 valve head.

With a high compression 660 raptor piston, the valves of the Xt660 might actually touch the piston and cause damage since the valve relieve pockets on the raptor 660 piston will not line up to the 4 valves on the XT head.

Freez I am sure I read that the Raptor 660 small end pin is 1mm smaller then the XT660 & raptor 700.

You are probably correct Kev, I did not even look that far. Since the XT valves will not line up with the piston relieve holes on the raptor 660 piston, I did not go any further.

You are quite right Freez even if the small end pin was the same size the, you can't fit a 5 valve piston into a 4 valve cylinder. The valves would probably hit the piston.
