LeoVince Cans + DNA 1&2 + PCIII

If anyone has this combination of mods I would highly recommend PCIII map M412-518 - without any fiddling it has given the bike the smoothest part throttle riding I've ever had - not even a hint of surging.

The bike does smell quite rich when stood behind it while revving her up, but I guess it must be OK as the bike runs so well.

However, the best bit is the fantastic amount of thrust the bike has gained from 3000rpm to 5500rpm-ish. I'm not sure if its lost a little bottom end or because the midrange is so strong it just feels that way, or maybe that's just the effect the pipes have.

All I have to do now is the AIS as the popping on deceleration turns heads, so only a matter of time before it turns the wrong heads.

Anyway for completeness the combination is:

XT660X 2004
DNA 1&2
LeoVince X3 cans with long Db killers in (Very deep sound - great)
CO1 @ 12
ECU marked 00

Very nice, glad you found a fuel map to suit your bike.

May be we can start a thread what fuel map are you running. Can other forum members post their results here for all to see.

carlyface 18-04-08 10:23

Ive the same combination. The betters maps that i put it has gone the "Kev fuel map" and the Captain map. I prefeer first.
Other that i put it was 515, its good too but i think that it has fuel exceeds.

Now ive put kev fuel map with a little modification to low revs.
Ill prove the 518 to see the result.

A great idea, it would be a useful exercise indeed. I look forward to that.

I too found the kev fuel map and capt moto smap gave me some glitches at the bottom end, some noticeable hesitation when snapping the throttle.

What changes did you make to the map to get it working nicely??

Let us know how you do with 518

Paul

I have the M 412-520 map installed but hasnt tryed out any ther maps so cant compare. Is it safe to fool around with these maps that everybody talks about? Just to load the PCIII and try the bike and if im not happy just change to another map?

Ive tried to join the supporter club here but doesnt work for me and the paying. Damn

It is safe to test all the maps out, I must have tried 10 before I realised the very first one I tried was the best. The great thing about the PCIII is how easy it is to hook up to your PC/laptop and swap them over. Keep testing till you find the best for your set up.

Kev 05-05-08 11:18

As Tony said no problems in swapping maps with in reason, make sure they have simular set ups & you will be ok.

In the supporters section we have over 35 different fuel maps for all years & most set ups.

A presto

maxx3 24-05-08 17:38

Thanks maxx3 i will add your fuel map to the map section. One question what is the part number on your ECU & what do you have your CO set at?

maxx3 25-05-08 14:37

grazie

Kev maxx3 asked me to translate this.

I have enlarged (?) the valve's [passages] to increase aspiration and modify the outlets too...

However the raptor 660 piston has a 12/1 ratio, do you thin I can fit this piston to the XT without modifications? isn't 12/1 too much?
Thanks

The Raptor 660 piston will not fit our XT's as the small end pin is smaller.

CaptMoto 25-05-08 23:33

Translation:

http://www.xs4all.nl/~mgraaf/xt660/kev/ECU_00.jpg

maxx3 31-05-08 08:22

Kev Max wants to know what is the diameter of the bore where the barrell meets the bottom end. on the original motor that is.

Cheers

I cant remember, I would have to ask Kev2 he may still have it writen down some where.

The XT660 cylinder is 108mm & the Raptor cylinder is 110mm. It may have had a air gap of .45mm around the sleave I will check with Kev2.

maxx3 02-06-08 15:02

grazie

questo quello scritto sulla mia ECU

5VK - 8591A - 01
112100 - 1872
12V TBDF08

CaptMoto 02-06-08 15:24

Kev maxx says hs ecu reads the following:

5VK - 8591A - 01
112100 - 1872
12V TBDF08

Also he is asking if it is possible to find a larger barrel that will fit into the bottom end without it being bored.

I know I am getting a bit bored of this though :applause:

Freez 02-06-08 15:47

I would not even consider a 660 raptor piston.

Both the Xt660 and raptor 660 uses a 100mm bore, so the piston will fit (not sure about stroke), but the 660 raptor uses a 5 valve head while the XT660 uses a 4 valve head.

With a high compression 660 raptor piston, the valves of the Xt660 might actually touch the piston and cause damage since the valve relieve pockets on the raptor 660 piston will not line up to the 4 valves on the XT head.

Freez I am sure I read that the Raptor 660 small end pin is 1mm smaller then the XT660 & raptor 700.

Freez 03-06-08 10:06

You are probably correct Kev, I did not even look that far. Since the XT valves will not line up with the piston relieve holes on the raptor 660 piston, I did not go any further.

Kev 03-06-08 11:17

You are quite right Freez even if the small end pin was the same size the, you can't fit a 5 valve piston into a 4 valve cylinder. The valves would probably hit the piston.
