Hi Kev.

I normally sell the valves with new custom made phosphor bonze guides. The valve and guide goes for about $32 each. Valve by itself is $22.

Valves are stainless and the price is the same for any size you need for the XT.

That's cheap, I will keep that in mind if I go for a new build.

Hmmm, need to increase the price then...lol.

Just joking.

The intake valves, even at +2mm are the same weight or slightly less than the stock valves. Exhaust valves are quite a bit lighter and also features a special design to help reduce reverse exhaust flow from getting back into the combustion chamber.

This means that you dont need to upgrade the valve springs to run these valves.

Hi DL700, nice to see you on the XT660 forum, hopefully we can gain from your great Raptor knowledge.

For the forum members DL700 is one of the best Raptor engine builders out there, he knows these motors backwards.

One thing we have been trying to do for while & Kenny was helping me before he went missing, was to find a stroker crank which would fit straight into our XT660 motor. Can I send you all the dimensions of the XT crank to check it against a RHINO or one of the other 700's cranks?

Here are some of the measurements I can get more as the crank is still removed.

What we do know is a Raptor +5mm stroker crankshaft fits in the XT casings with no modifications, but you also need to fit a Raptor Rotor & starter clutch & Raptor stator coils, which makes the conversion quite expensive once you have bought the stroker crank, approx US$1000.00.

I am really keen to do a stroker conversion on my XT & have been dealing with Geisick who will make me a stroker crank, I have been looking for a cheap XT660 crank core so he can do it for me, the cost is also high once you buy a used XT crank send it to the states build one balance & post back to Australia around US$1000.00. So we can find a 700 stroker crank that is the same as the XT660 the mod would be cost effective.

thanks for the kind words Kev,
weve only been building the 700 motors for a short time but have pushed the Hp bar to new heights on the smaller cc units as our specialty, we have also done some great work with the older 5 valve motors as well, having custom profile cams for both...

we will look into a cheaper alternative to adding a stroke to the XT660 motor if possible, if we could get a stroker for less then $500 usd would be the goal.
send me the info you have @ highdesertdyno@yahoo.com or contact thru www.highdesertdyno.com

$500 would be perfect if possible, thanks for your help on this one, I will gather all the info I have & E-mail you directly soon. Cheers Kev.

Kev...I am sending some stuff to the States...pm me, mate.

richardsracingmad 08-09-10 06:22

the crank pics...look up Schoemrich..his thread

Some Greeks did a "bitza" and had a Raptor stator , and raptor generator with new timing marks...

Sorry, now dulpicated the link.....here you go dl700, XT vs. Raptor Crankshaft..
