Good one Peter, you will feel a great difference when you fit the 2 filters specially since you are using after market cans. (Microns)

Original or After market filter ?

I've just pulled the snorkel and boosted the co from 20 to 28, no other mods have been done and i have to say the difference is quite noticeable especially low down. 2nd gear has really got some snap to it. Grand!

But i have a quick question regarding the filter, is the standard one louvered or does it have a mesh covering, i had a quick look in my airbox and the filter has no mesh and has louvers like the ones at the start of this post. Also there is a K&N sticker on the airbox, could the previous owner have left a K&N in there?

If he did ; Nice One Adam ... :icon_thumleft:

I don't understand what you mean by louvered, however the original filter would have a metal wire mesh on the outsdide, whereas an aftermarket one like the K&N or DNA just consists of ribbles of a special compund that looks like cardbard in a concertina fold and wrapped in thin mesh, it is safe to assume that if there is a K&N stickers in there that it is infact a K&N filter.

Louvered. Sorted !

Should i bump the co up a bit more? the bikes still a bit lumpy, not sure if the sub zero temperatures up here are having an effect [-4C this morning].

Cheers.

20-28 is more than enough (I think) I would invest in a Kev Mod to enhance the fuelling of the bike, have a read around the forum about the Kev Mod and see what it does to you at such a cheap and affordable price.

Cheers

I dont wanna drill the holes 'cos it bypasses the air filter and i'm going somewhere dusty.

What purpose does the snorkel serve originally, why was it ever fitted? Is it to prevent small thing, bolts etc. falling into the airbox?
