Swingarm bearings

My swingarm is very squeaky so I guess I need to change the bearings.

I've found one of them as SKF HK2220 but cant find the lower one code (I dont want to to get them from Yam, they are 4-5 the price). Any idea on this?

Would this kit be any good?

Weemoto kit is generally pretty good quality so I dont see why not.

Have you considered taking the axle out and cleaning the bearings etc and re greasing as a first option?

There is a great thread somewhere on the forum talking you through removing the swingarm and linkage and repacking it with a top quality marine grease. I did this one year into ownership of my 2014 Tenere and found the original bearings were poorly greased.....Steve

I think I found that thread once but I cant really remove the swingarm since I dont have any tools/nothing to keep it on.

At the moment it sounds really really bad so Im guessing one or all the bearings are gone (60k, I dont remember changing them).

Is the wemoto kit everything I need? 2 upper bearing and 1 lower? Is there anything else I need?

When you refer to upper and lower , don't you mean inner and outer on the swingarm.
2 roller pin bearings
2 bushes
4 seals

Or are you referring to the shock linkage bearings?

I guess Im looking for the linkage parts, since I assume that is where this horrible noise is coming

At some point your not going to have any option but to remove the axle etc if your wanting to replace the bearings..

I,like others on here, wrote a big about it, including some parts numbers.

Thank you for the link man, amazing job. "6 inner tube" what is this one? Im looking through the parts list but cant nail it.

Im putting everything on a list now to see if a kidney can cover all repairs :icon_cheers:

http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...psmafgk8jh.jpg I bet it's the linkage. ...it's not a big job so worth taking apart , cleaning and greasing and see if that does the job! Might be a cheap fix. STEVE
