Hi Schnidely

I am really curious to know the bike's weight but for the moment I couldn't find any place to weight it... but I'm still looking for it.

I think it could be around 7 to 10 kgs... but not sure.
I add goodies but the savings in the exhaust and front wheel with single disk are important.

I'm going to weight the rear wheel when I have the sprokett and disk to compare with stock but OTR says that it is more or less the same weight. The spokes are much thicker and the rim is bigger than the OEM ones.

I'm 1,78m tall and the suspensions are longer so I didn't want a higher seat, mine is the standard height. I am very pleased with mine, confy enough for long distances (I did 1000km in motorway and was ok). The Kahedo shape is better than the OEM, it is rounded in the sides so I can reach better the floor.

If I can weight the bike I will post it

Cheers!!

I have the rear sprocket, I'm only waiting for the rear disc to fix the 18" rear wheel :clap

It improves a lot in off road and it is more or less the same on tarmac. You also have more choice for off road tires. Here it is a review:

Hi guys, I am so happy with my bike that I decided to participate in a race in the Spanish Rally TT championship.

There is a trail category and I thought it could be a good excuse to do a hard test to the bike and to me

Lots of Spanish Dakar top rides use this championship as training for the Dakar so its great to see them flying in their bikes. The problem to me was that we all did the same circuit and had the same time to do it but with 100 kgs and 30 years more it was really hard!!

There were 60 riders, most of them in enduro bikes. The track was closest to an enduro than a rally race so most of the trail bikes where out. I crashed but fortunately nothing really serious so I ended in 22th position and win my category (only finish two).

I know Im crazy but it was a great experience the closest I can do to my dream to race a Dakar.
Here it is the review and pics (sorry it is in Spanish): http://traildreamer.com/un-dia-de-carreras/

I know... sorry not to translate but it is too long for my poor English.
Did you try Google Translate... not too bad. :)

I was very close to leave... it was too hard for a trail bike but now I am very pleased our dear Tenere has win :team[1]:

Thanks!

Hi

At last I think I have an idea of my bike's weight.

- 199,8 kg full
- 181,6 kg empty

Here it is how I did it: http://traildreamer.com/en/peso-de-l...-traildreamer/

Do you think it is ok?

JaumeV 27-06-14 07:51

I added a chain guide. I think it is a important security element: http://traildreamer.com/guia-cadenas/

Yes i agree JaumeV

Where did you get that guide from ?

I've been looking for one but don't fancy drilling into my swing arm. Wish Otr would engineer something shouldn't be hard to do.

Don't worry. It is safe to drill some holes on the underside of your swing arm and tap M6 into it. It will not affect the strength of it.
I also think it is a very good idea Jaume! As i can see, it is made for Yamaha, but which one?

bart20170 29-06-14 22:27

please Jaume, let us know where to bye this chain gyde, and the correct type please. Your driving the best looking z I know.

Markymark 29-06-14 22:59

Jaume

What does the chain guide do?

also - that chain does not seem to sit right on that sprockett all the way round.

This is the chain guide: https://www.yamahapartsandaccessorie...rcycle&d=20|20

But probably others can work as well.

Agree. No problem to drill some few holes in the swing arm. The 660 is not prepared to have it so this is the only way to fix it.

It is to avoid a break down caused because the chain goes off to the sprocket. But as well if you have an accident it prevents to put your hand between the chain and the sprocket. A friend of mine lost a finger in this way.

The chain sits right. Probably you think this because de grey colour around. This sprocket has the inside made by aluminium (light grey) and the exterior it is made by steel (dark grey). This helps to have a light but strong sproket. See here: http://traildreamer.com/en/nueva-cor...trasera-de-18/

Cheers!

Nice ride Jaume! I wish we had that kind of terrain here in Holland too, remember it well from my Spanish rides with Norbert Schilcher with my old 870cc Super Tnr... :eusa_dance:

Hahaha, a well-prepared Ten is indeed a dream to drive! Can be a handful sometimes but so much direct fun. My own test drive was offroad in Finland last july/august. Handled great, perfect allrounder now!

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!! :winner:

Last weekend I won the Rally de Sant Mateu and the championship. This was totally unespected, I was in the first rally just to have a new experience but it was so fun that I couldn't resist to participate in the rest.

The bike worked perfect all the season. Great bike!!

Now I must decide what to do next year....

Here you have some videos from previous rallys: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...A-Ql-9GwRWmBfr

After being decided to participate in the Spanish Rally TT Championship I had to install all the instruments for the road-book.

It was difficult to fit it all but I love how it looks.

The next challenge is to now how it works all this stuff and try to ride riding them... :eek1
