Thanks guys.
I was very lucky, I am ok and the bike as well, incredible!. I was looking at the brake pedal. It has a hit a moment before and I thought it was bend. Just a second but... This allways happend when you are relaxed... I must avoid this distractions!! Cheers! |
Nice work coming out of that relatively unscathed!! It only takes a second to have an off but you did well and the bike did too!!
Great footage and you would have found the Tenere isnt that bad to ride without a screen, more a constant flow of air and no buffetting!! Take care and Keep up the good work, I enjoy watching the build and the videos! Matt. |

Thanks!! |
Something very nice is comming
|
:023: Nice! Hope they perform on the dirt as well as they look in the workshop.
Just out of interest... (a) Are the YZ forks "as they come" with 310mm travel, or have you had the travel reduced to be more in line with the XTZ's rear end and the ground clearance? (b) What rate fork springs are you using? (c) Have you made any damping changes and had any re-valving done? YZ forks seem to be the way to go as there are plenty out there on the secondhand market and they are a lot cheaper than used WP forks. |

For the moment they are "as they come". This weekend I hope I can test it and see witch changes are necessary. You will be informed Cheers |
At last!! I tested the new front forks... nice, really nice!!

Love the Super Ten and the 660 is looking stunning.
Must confess, I had a sympathetic chuckle at the off. Mainly because I've done that! I lost focus for a second and got cross rutted and wound up in a pool of mud. My entire left side was thick with it. When I got back to the service area there was another rider stood there with exactly the same mud wear ... Yep; he'd done the same! Glad your ok |
Awesome looking bikes, both of them.
Apart from your obvious talents as a rider, do you think the Super Ten has intrinsic hill climbing advantages? |
Hi,
I probably missed it somewhere, but did you change the rear wheel for 18"? What hub did you use? |

The only advantage in certain conditions must be due the great traction control the Super Ten has. |

I'm going to use the OEM hub. |
Outstanding Jaume
What were the day time temps this time of year ? i know there's a massive differance from desert to high Atlas Phil |
Jaume,
How many kg do you think you reduced the weight of your Ten by? Paul |
Quote:
The weather was better but still cold specially in the night (frost every night). But few days ago some guys told me was really hot so you never know but its normal to be really cold in the Atlas. |

Some parts are lighter but add some others so I don't think I reduced a lot. But the bike is much better that it was, really enjoyable. |
Yes i agree the weather can be all over the place !!! been 3 times all around October and 1st time +40, 2nd 30and last Oct lucky if we go +25
Bikes looking great by the way  |

Well... once my trip to Morocco was finished I cleaned and serviced the bike. It was so clean and nice that the dealer wanted to do a photo session.
He is a very good photographer as you can see in this link : http://traildreamer.com/en/yamaha-te...photo-session/ http://fotos.subefotos.com/4794e3011...b017ef567o.jpg http://fotos.subefotos.com/5d75863fa...04decb28fo.jpg |
You've got that thing moving nicely there!
|
Accin agradable de lado! :023:
Great photos. |
Buenisimas fotos!!!
That's a proper control of the tenere Jaume!! Congrats! |
Thanks guys! this bike is soooo good!!
But I dont show you some "happy ending" shots... hahaha! |
|
More great shots! Interesting to see how close the bike comes to gouging the foot pegs and center stand during some of those drifts. It's something you don't realize until you see great snapshots like these.
Nice form Jaume! Best Tenner I've ever seen... |
Yes I tought the same... lucky I didn't realize when I was riding :103:
And I have longuer suspensions!! :occasion14: |
Good!!

Hey Jaume,
Any chance of getting your bike weighed(wet) once the 18" rear is on? I know you have added goodies that will add weight slightly but I am very interested to get first hand feedback from an owner of a tenere with lighter hubs, single front disc and single exhaust exactly how much weight has been lost. I'm sure there would be a few other bods on this forum who would also appreciate this info. Also just wondering how your seat is for comfort? I see others with modified seats that eliminate the hump but they seem to have added height to the front half which I'd prefer not to do, for aesthetics and height reasons. The bike is already tall enough IMO. Yours seems to have a fair slope from side profile but looks so much more in tune with the bike. Do you think it's thick enough for long distance sit down comfort? Cheers Regards Brad |
