What length?

What length are people buying and using? I run Touratech handguards and my lever balls are very close to the plastic. Are the standard length levers listed here longer or shorter than our OEM levers? Or do I need to order the short option? They look like they are a 3 finger type of lever, is that right?

Many thanks

I have the short option (the 3 finger type). That way they don't come close to the handguards.

Ever since these levers first became available (going back as far as the days when you had to buy the clutch and brake separately) everyone who expressed an interest went for the short version. In fact I'm not sure anyone has bought the full length type at all?

Go for the short three-finger version, the long ones are pretty much the same size as the stock levers.

I bought myself a set about a month ago and they took about 7 days to turn up.
So much nicer than the originals.

Length adjustable

I have ordered the length adjustable ones to give myself the option on the blade lengths. Just waiting for them to show up. Will report back once I have fitted them.

They fit!

Great quality, and they were a five minute fit! They have given a good clearance with my KTM handguards.

Amazing value for money. Have fitted my length adjustable ones and have ridden on the road with them, but not off road. Generally, I like them set in their longest position, but maybe I'll shorten them up when off road. Time will tell. I'm not sure they are quite as comfortable a shape as the non length adjustable ones. The lever blade is a bit squarer and fatter as a result of the design needed to make them length adjustable. The best bit I think is that these also have a hinge in, so that if you drop the bike, the lever should just hinge up in the air rather than get bent or snap. I've not tested that, and I also have hand guards, so hopefully a broken lever will never happen. But like I say, a great bit of bling for not a lot of money.

Do any of you guys know if the brake & clutch levers are the same / interchangeable throughout the XT range (R, X, Z)?

Just found this interesting offer on Aliexpres, but it's for X & R, and I'd need them for a 2009 Tenere / Z :
