Glad to see everything seems to be working out with the lever ordering now.

Set free play as the manual states. Just make sure the adjuster at the lever is not left wound in too far, leave it so there's a good 10mm of thread showing, which helps the cable run more smoothly through the end of outer sleeve. You may find it easier to get the initial adjustment right at the clutch end of the cable. Also give the exposed cable at the lever a good lube up.

OK. Thanks for the tip. Will give a go.

Finally got mine, after 20+ emails, one wrong set and another few e-mails and a lengthy wait they arrived, they are brilliant....

I didn't use the easy to buy link as there wasn't one when I ordered....

got there in the end though...

Arrived - they're awesome!

pictures to follow, but Blue shortie levers with yellow/gold adjusters on a Blue 'Ten look better than the OE stuff.

Stupid question though, the Front brake is slightly sticking, is there an easy way to adjust the brake?

cheers

I also had to grind mine a bit with fine sandpaper.

Where did you grind? dig out the hole, or grind down the leading edge?

Bizarre that this si the only way to adjust it though!

Mine was sticking because it was just a bit to thick so i took just a bit of the sides where it is inside the base.

I was well impressed with this thread until I discovered that the item was "ended". However, perhaps they'll resolve that soon. Can anybody please tell me if the XT660Z levers will fit a 2004 XT660R?

I think The levers are much better than I expected. Not only do they look good. What they make the bike feel much sportier to ride.
Thanks for the tip

The listing changes every 28 days. The levers are always there and available, just check the EZmoto ebay shop. However, I will endevour to keep this thread up to date with the latest current listing for the levers....
