I've fitted the ebay pegs and they're dead easy to do and only paid the 12..... including free postage! They do feel better for standing on and generally having your feet on, but I did have to drop my gear lever (no rubber adding height on the pegs) and they also let a few more vides through. Not enough to be uncomfortable, but just enough to notice. Bargain mod of the century!

rearviewmirror 20-06-10 13:37

I didn't see any replies to whether or not these would fit an XTR/XTX...? I thought I read somewhere that someone put YZ80 pegs on their XTR, and looking at these Ebay listings, these pegs you lot are buying are for YZ80-250, so I assume these will work on the XTR/XTX. I guess it's worth the gamble given the extremely low price. I hate the rubber pegs, thanks Yamaha for overthinking this one....

In what way?

I got a pair and the locator hole for the spring on one peg was in the wrong place - I just drilled out another hole rather than send back/replace

mudmatt 24-06-10 10:43

The spring doesn't physically fit into the recess on the peg, it is out by about 5mm, not wide enough
left footpeg spot on, just think it was packed wrong

stuxtttr 24-06-10 16:29

Mine was just like that, as said just drill out another hole then it works a treat.

mudmatt 24-06-10 18:13

BTW, does anyone know if the XT600E 4PT model fitment is also the same as this list?

Also, anyone knows where else you can get the wide pegs (not Pivot pegs or Touratech, I don't want to spend more than 30 quid) as the ebay listings for them are few and far between at the moment. Have to be shipped from the US and the shipping costs more than the peg.

Thanks

This link won't work either after a few weeks. I think the point to take is what iShoe wrote.

Still no footpegs, the seller sent me a photo of the parcel addressed to me as proof (a great idea on their behalf), and dated 11th December.

Adventure Boy 12-01-11 18:23

You got your foot pegs yet mate??

ipswichbiker 15-01-11 10:11

I ordered a set of pegs off ebay. Probably a week or 5 days ago and they arrived this morning. From China! I wasnt expecting them for ages. Now to get them on.

richardsracingmad 15-01-11 10:19

mine still haven't turned up. Yesterday they refunded me, and they said you can re-order them, as they must have been lost.
But, when I looked at the same seller's footpegs, they were from China, not the UK as before. (begoniasale)
So, I am not going there .....still on the hunt for footpegs, from the uk!

Mine also arrived this morning... 4 days - impressive

Like others have mentioned before had to drill a 4mm hole to fit the spring to one of the pegs.

http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...4/Footpegs.jpg

ipswichbiker 16-01-11 19:04

Mine looked like that but didnt need the hole drilled. Must be a bit random what they send. Easy to fit with some needle nose pliers.

http://www.areyourshop.com/index.php...100629ff2139e8

take it,these are what everyone has been raving about?

It`s as close as i can find to some of those major size rallye pegs you see on all the Dakar bikes.i`ve got size 11`s so need a big platform as my "standing up on pegs" technique sucks with the stock pegs...

Sorry to bring up the old thread but as pay day is looming ive tracked down an ebay listing and would like to know of theese are the ones mentioned in the 1st thread?...

Cheers all

Chris

Gas_Up_Lets_Go 28-03-12 08:27

Yep, they'll do the job.

The only thing one or two of us have had to do is to drill a small locator hole for the peg spring, but not everyone has had to do this... odd but or 10 you can't go wrong.
