Will probably try fitting these this weekend.
These have speed rating to 112mph so not a lot short of the potential top end.

Got any pic's of these mounted on the bike yet? :112:

Will make the effort to take some tommorrow, bikes stuck in my garage snowed in as theres a 100ft glacier between it and the main road and theres not a lot of space to take pics (garage is full of collected useful stuff or crap if you ask the missus). now the main road is snowed in too... might be enough to run spikes if this keeps up.

Nice looking tyre. Be very interested to see the ride/wear reports etc. When you can get out of course and riding in normal wet/dry condition as well as off road.

Look nice mac, have you been out in the snow on them? I found the TKC's pretty handy in it.

mac-cos 06-01-10 22:46

Not yet as the lane to the main road has been sheet ice over the past week, its slightly better now theres 1/2 foot of snow on it giving a bit more grip. Tempted all the same if I could wash off the salty slush its going to collect but my outside tap/hose is frozen under the ice and snow too. (excuses excuses!)

Thanks for the pictures Mac... Rear looks good, whats the tread depth on that?

dave-v-v 08-01-10 12:53

E-08 is a good road tyre but bad off road.
Like the look of the swiss army tyre:luuurve:

I have used these tyres before and quite good off road. So we dont upset the Swedes please note they are SWEDISH army tyres as Trelleborg was/is a Swedish rubber company now made by MITAS.

see below copy of text from Trellesport website;-

T-644 Army Special

"Army Special tyres as used by the Swedish Army. Excellent dual purpose tyre, road legal and speed rated. These tyres give good off road performance whilst offering long life for on road use. Excellent in Rally Type events. Cambriam, Hafren, Dyfi etc"

Apols to OP as I seem to have added some thread drift on this. To help make amends I'll start a T63 thread sometime soon (when I next get some more pics after braving the snow drifts twix hoose and garage (upto my knees in spots).

Just ordered a set of the Trelleborg Army Specials today and looking forward to getting them. I'm going to be doing some Welsh rallies this year and wanted something with max depth on the tread. I think that these will be just the ticket.

I've entered the Horizons Unlimited Mountain Madness in July but I think that these may be a bit OTT for that, as it's mainly dusty gravel tracks. Might go for the T63's instead.
