Not a great deal, I will have to fill mine up this weekend so I will be able to give you a better idea later, but while testing and since I have not noticed a huge drop in fuel consumption. If anything it my improve because the motor will pull from lower revs so the engine is not working as hard

Even if it cost me 5mpg then it is still worth it in my opinon :nike:

I will let the boys testing the mod answer this question on their own person experience.

I will give the technical side to the answer.

A lean fuel mixture produces less HP. Lets use a lean A/F of 14:1 for example, by correcting the A/F ratio to around 13.5:1 the XT motor will produce more HP & torque.

So if we have a A/F ratio at 13.5:1 which produces more HP then the 14:1 A/F & cruising at 70MPH, you will need less throttle opening to keep at the same speed. So in theory you should use similar amount of fuel. A little more fuel to get the extra HP but in turn you have a decreased throttle opening to keep at the same speed.

Hope that makes sense.

Hi Pinglow,

I'm watching the fuel consumption quite carefully. Normally i'm achieving around 226 - 230 miles before the low fuel level starts flashing. I'm sure consumption will be higher, would seem it will be a trade off for better performance. In saying that it probably depends on the position the mod dial is tuned to. Kev maybe able to shed greater light on this...

I am really inerested in one of these kits. Just a quick question, how do you know where to set the dial? Or is it trial and error, riding then tweaking till you get what you think is the best peformance? I only ask as i wouldnt really know what the bike is doing at any one setting, (apart from smoothing out the power delivery that is. )

The best setting I found was at the 5 O'clock position, but you can adjust it to were it suits you best and without any damage, if you have it to rich then the worst it will do it feel bit boggy at the bottom end.

Thanks guys:hello2:

A noob question. With the o2 eliminator on and turning off the fuel mod, the bike will run according stock fuel mixture? Or?
