The popping is normal and i do like the domed ends on your cans.

I ordered a set of CCC from the previous owner and got the wrong clamps sent out (i ordered round cans, and got oval clamps) but just contacted simon the owner and he was very sorry for the mistake and sent out a set of round clamps straight away.

As for the can fouling the indicator you should be able to put the can up on the clamps as the hole at the top of the clamp is more of a slot so you can push it up and clear the indicator but be carefull you dont go too far and touch the top plastics
