Rear shock
Hi people,
My old shock is finished after a wild Central Asia adventure. The Sachs is reallly soft and already on the max hight) so my motorcycle is quite a few cm lower in the rear than a new one. ![]() So I got myself a good Sachs shock and got a free spring of a Hyperpro. My idea is to get rid of the stock spring and replace it with the Hyperpro spring. Is that a good idea? I'm riding 90% tarmac and 25kg luggage. |

You've got to assume that, because of the age of the shock and the fact you are having to replace the spring, that the damping side of the shock will be just as bad (the Sachs damping isn't great to start with).
Owners had successful results adding a Hyperpro spring to nearly new shock bodies in the first few years of ownership but not so much on older, higher mileage bikes. I'd be considering a replacement aftermarket shock. |
