Where should the clutch realease lever be positioned?
Hi, guys! I'm new to the forum and I have an issue regarding the replacement of my worn out clutch cable:
Everything has been done, except for attaching the lower end piece to the clutch release lever. This because I don't know where the clutch release lever should be positioned- Should it be as far forward as it goes (where it stops)? Or all the way back? Thanks, regards, Wilhelm! |

there is a dot on the lever & one on the case... that should line up
when the lever comes to a stop when pushed towards the front of the bike by hand.... this is the point when the clutch starts to disingauge... the cable should hold the lever at or near that point then add a bit of free play so the lever on the bars has a round a 3 or 4mm gap from the perch "mount'... ..
