Ok chaps, looking for any experience you people have with these things.

I'm looking for a wireless set for communication with the missus while we're out touring at the end of July. I do have some criteria;

1) Wireless
2) Rider - Pillion
3) Music connectivity
4) 8hr battery life
5) usable, no use at all if you can't hear anything!

I've found two potential products

Scala Rider Q1 TeamSet or the Sena SMH10FM.


The Sena gets some good reviews, as does the Scala but the one thing that is putting me off the Sena, apart from it's much more expensive that the Scala, is it only claims to be 'water resistant', where as the Scala is IP67.

So I'm looking for any experience you lot have, good or bad, even opinions from 'my mate had one' is better than nothing.

I've used Starcom1 units before and they are by far the best thing I have used, but Mrs GULG doesn't like the wires, so a wireless setup it is. And at close to �500 it's a little excessive for what I need.

I've looked at reviews on the HUBB, ABR, Tiger forums (of which there are many!), but to be honest, I'm not wholly sure I trust many of the contributors. I know here, I'll get honest feedback
