Hi just got my xt660 x today and what a awesum machine I love it even more than my gsxr glad I px it, it has a power commander fitted and I have no manual for it as the garage didn't have the instructions what does the low mid and high buttons mean and do, don't really want to fiddle with it as I don't know what I'm doing

Whatever they do (the buttons) you dont need to touch them. As long as the most suitable map is loaded in the bike will be fine. If the bike is running well with minimal surging then its the right map.

The reason those buttons are there is to quickly modify a map to enrich the a/f mixture in two specific rev ranges, i.e. the low mid (slow revs) or high as in top rev range. These are used by peple who go to a track day and want to give the bike more fuel to air for the track day or race. You don't need to fiddle with them. ![]() |

Well I fitted mine on thursday, bought secondhand with a map in it off a bike with similar mods,my initial run round the block wasn't good, been out on it today and it's settled down much better, certainley the surging has all but gone, but for you guys,up to necks in kids and mortgages,Kev's fuel mod more than gets the job done when your on the throttle, and if your in the West Mids I'll sell you one, although on thursday I was going to change it back !!!
Just need to get it mapped on a dyno now. |
