Hepco and Becker engine bars

Anybody tried these ?

They look like they would do a pretty good job of protecting the vulnerable water pump and the complete side of the bike.

I have a fried that had them fitted and I'll probably buy those too. They look good on the bike, build quality is good and protection same. They do protect the water pump too ( some from other manufacturers don't ).

The only thing that bothered me a bit was that I was able to touch them when using the break with my right foot. But once you get used that you'll touch them is no problem.

Also, if you lower your brake pedal (to make it better when standing-up) it will be even closer.

SW Motech

I have one of these and they already worth the euros I paid for it.

I see too the one from Givi but, the SW-Motech are stronger.

I have already a fall and they protect the way they should.

Regards

I also have SW-Motech bars.
Prevented a crushed fuel tank a couple months ago.
I crashed into a wooden beam that was placed across a sandy road.

If water pump protection is considered from crashbars - then Hepco & Becker... If you already have it protected by something else... then others will do.

I use the H&B bars plus a Off the Road wter pump protector which hopefully will do the job if need be. Not sure if I needed the protector as well but bought it anyway.
