So... any reviews yet on DNA stage 2(3) filter?

I know a couple of you managed to buy these filters "elsewhere" but have you got them yet? and how they perform? come on spill the beans

I know a certain Mr. Skunkmoto just bought one today from us and the parcel will be posted to him in the morning so... 4 or 5 working days later he'll be a happy boy, but what about the rest of you's.

Who's got one already?

Well got my PowerCommander5 from SimonC on the forum, at a vgood price, so it's sitting in the kitchen doing nowt, though the fridge does seem a bit quicker.

Ordered the Stage 3 from Capn, most speedy service, and the others <cough> <shuffles feet> 'elsewhere'.

I'm hoping to get a Dyno Day sometime in the holidays so I can get all setup:

Stock
PCV and DNA Stage 1 & 2 (If anyone has a map for this on the Tenere?)
PCV and DNA Stage 1,2 and 3

There's only two Dynos up this way, so if they aren't open over the hols it'll be a seat of the pants Skunkbut dyno.

Now I'm just waiting for the postman to bring Christmas treats, so till then nothing to report, but I'll take some pics and writeup when things start happening.

Well my PC-V arrived in double quick time, again from Simon at a great price. Although it's not been powered up I understand it to have the Stage 2 maps pre-loaded.

Today, thanks to Fran and Dino, my Stage 2 filter and cover arrived so I'll be beavering away in the garage as soon as this week is finished and I can forget about work for a couple of weeks.

As I've not got the Stage 3 filter (yet) I'll only be able to give some layman's feedback on the Stage 2, PC-V and S2 (supplied) map.

Actually, I think it's about time I wrote something about the mods I've done over the last 18 months...

Received the stg 3 from DNA, but will only be able to get around to test it next week. I will write a whole thing about it.

We will take Jon's XTZ back to stock to get a base run, then do a run with the stg 1 & 2 filter and then a last one for the stg 3 to show the difference.

Jon's bike currently runs a "stg 4" (self made DNA filter) for the right side of the airbox, so might show if there is more power to be had with more air.

Jon said that the stg 3 already made the Z feel more responsive and quicker, even though he already runs a side cover filter. Seems it will be a good one.

Hang in there, dyno runs to follow soon.

Hi all.

Sorry for a bit of bad news, but I am not going to be able to finish testing the stg 3 filter in the timeframe I have mentioned earlier.

Most of you might not know, but I was in a very serious bike accident. At the moment I am still in a wheel chair, but should be up and walking in the next month or so.

As a result of me not being able to walk, I was also not able to do the required dyno testing on the XTZ. Jon is also going on leave and will only be back towards the end of Jan 2010. I hope to be able to finish testing the filter as soon as he returns. I apologise again for the delay.

Some interesting feedback so far on the filter.

Jon is currently running the DNA stg1 and 2 filter mods. Jon also used a DNA stg 2 filter from an XTX which he modified with an adaptor plate to mount to the right hand side of the XTZ's airbox. It made a big difference in the power output.

When I received the DNA stg 3 filter from Dino, I gave it to Jon to test. He mounted it and took the bike for a quick ride. He claims it woke the bike up even more. For testing purposes, he removed his home made filter cover and he claims there was no real loos in power with the extra filter. He now only runs the DNA stg 1,2 and 3 and is more than happy with the way the bike is running.
