Tony when are you off to France with it?

Got the tyres fitted today and took it for a run to see how it handles. Its an improvement on road for sure so I took it on some fire road tracks local to myself as well. I took the footpeg rubbers off first.

One thing I noticed is the bike feels really fat when standing up. To me it feels too heavy to be a serious off roader but it soaked up the terrain well when out of the saddle. Not to sure on anything harder than that with these tyres on but then I did know the Distanzias are 90% on 10% off road tyres.

Stopped to take a few snaps.

Rear

Side On

An Avon Distanzias update?

Tony, is there any chance of a six month update on your satisfaction (or otherwise) of the Avon Distanzias? I will be after a new set of tyres after the distances of the Summer riding season (as opposed to just Winter commuting).

Interested too, was running a front on my ttr with a gripster rear and found them a great combo.

Yeah I think the Tenere is slightly fat around the front of the saddle, pitty Yamaha didnt sculpt the tank seat meeting point in just a bit as it would make a massive improvement for feel off road.

can't fault it great tyre great price

just hope it can last 5 K Miles and it will be a winner

will probably take off for the winter and switch to swedish army tyre or similar
