Avon Distanzia For The Tenere

I dont need tyres yet but done some reading up on whats best (currently on Michelin Siracs). If I am honest 95% of the time I will be on road so I am going for a road biased tyre. I have decided to go for the Avon Distanzia as they do the correct sizes.

I know this tyre from previous XTX's. Its very very good and would be ideal I think for the Tenere. Anyone else tried them on the Tenere?

not that I know but Motonacio has them on his XTR which are same size as the Tenners :106:

I had them on the XTR and they where good, but could be a bit slippy sometimes in the wet. Apart from that once they are worn in they grip like nothing else when in the dry which i can voch for as i was able to get my panniers down with them on...... twice

Yes I fitted a pair recently and no problems, apart from not being able to greenlane when the whim takes me.

I had been running tkc 80s so have to readjust to losing a bit of front end grip on muddy rural lanes with the Distanzias.

Better than the Tourance which I never trusted completely.

Got mine from roundandblack on ebay for about 120 delivered and the rear was a ****** to fit.

Tony :violin::violin:you are such a tart, the distanzia on the Tenere and XT660R look exactly the same as those for the XTX only difference is the front tyre a bit thinner and a bit larger in diameter.

get back in your "shumacher seicento" lol haha
