Tenere footpegs
Had a crack at widening the teneres discracfull foot pegs into something wider they should have left the factory with. Fabricated the serrated strip with a series of holes in flat bar . What do you all reckon . I'm very pleased with the end result.
Cost = zero just time on a wet weekend in the shed. Oh and a question about posting pictures . How do I get the photo to be automatically open in the thread I only know how to add the link to Photobucket ??? ![]() ![]() Last edited by Gas_Up_Lets_Go; 27-11-15 at 09:56. |

Nice job mate....I have been tossing up whether to go for a set of Pivot Pegs of fabricate up something similar to what you have done.....
Did you use MS...I was thinking of using stainless and silver solder.

Nice work. ..they look great! . The way I get my photos up I select the photo in Photobucket, where it says share photo I select 'copy link to Clipboard, then copy that link to the new thread I'm starting in the Forum and photo appears on the forum as an image rather than a link. I'm using my smartphone to do everything, don't ha e a p.c. Steve

I've sorted it for you.
However, if you click on "share photo" options in Photobucket, then click the "direct" link it will copy this to your clipboard. Then come to XT660 and click the little yellow photo icon (the little yellow on with a mountain picture in it), past the coppied link into the box and away you go.

Yes Seahorse I used mild steel so I could arc weld it to the original peg for maximum strength . I used little pieces of six mm rod to bridge the gap between the old and new serrated strip . I could then weld across both joins.
They ended up 50 mm wide which is far more comfortable when standing up. Thanks for fixing up my photos , and for the advice so I can do it myself, I'm using an iPad if that makes any difference . |

Excellent work mate - they look OE!

Great looking one off bespoke pegs Rusty85!!
As with posting photos, I used to use Photobucket but became a bit of a pain once my PC died. So I now use Tapatalk if I want to post something with photos from my phone its a doddle. |

Good job with pegs. Did the same to mine but with stainless steel. They make a huge difference to rider comfort too!
