Question Handlebar risers 25-30 mm for tenere

Hi I am after a good quality set of handlebar risers 25-30 mm for my tenere. Apart from touratec, could you recommend a set that will fit my ten without modification, I have the standard handle bars and am finding I am getting aching wrists on long rides sat down. Any info would be much appreciated.

OK, this might sound a little odd considering you ask about risers, but have you considered changing the bars instead ?

Renthal High Enduro bars give a 30mm rise, but also a more natural sweep of the hands. Easy to fit (once you remove the little lug from your switchgear) and they look better.

Other than that , most riser kits specified for the Z are fine. I used SW Moto ones for a while before I switched bars.

On my xtr, from this site, but made by Apico. Possibility to adjust height. Should be OK.

I bought these. Good thing is you can try various permutations of height before you settle on the one that suits you best for sitting/standing etc.

My risers are part of my MSC steering damper but I agree with GULG, I really do need to change the bars.... eventually. I find my ache is the angle of my wrists from the way the bars taper in too aggressively.

I use ROX anti vibe risers..
gives 2 sets of anti vibe rubbers.. standard yamaha ones
& the rox units...
ROX risers are totaly adjustable... move the clamp point
forward or aft plus lean the bars forward and aft as normal...

There only draw back is the prise.....

Hi both you and Macca2801 have mentioned changing the bars part of my ache is also due to the inward angle of the bars i thought of changing but imagined I would have problems fitting cables switch gear etc. Do you have the model number of your bars and were there any problems fitting the throttle and switch gear to the renthal bar i assume it has the bracing bar and is 22 mm like the standard bar? PS I have searched thro the threads and found you recommend the renthal 613-01 bar what what was the lug you mentioned on the switches? i assume the throttle cables still have to be routed over the oil pipe after removing the tank? Do you have to drain the tank to remove it or is there a valve of some sort incorporated in it? sorry for all the questions.
