TrailAttack 2's Dead - Next? Anakee 3?
After approx 6,000 miles, my tyres are dead.
The rear, I had to ride about a mile on flat to get to a garage, so that has squared off nicely. It is no fun in the wet now. The front is going the same way. I saw these recently, and they had good reviews: Michelin Anakee 3 ![]() Bloomin' odd looking things, these. Review here: http://www.roadtrooper.com/michelin-...uro-tour-test/ Anyone have experience? I am a 100% road user, doing around 70 miles a day.

I tried the Anakee 2's on my super Tenere after a recommend from a guy who had been to Africa and back on them and they were brilliant and very hard wearing, if these are a step up from them gotta be worth a shot

You'll only be able to judge once you have them on....
I fitted some Anakee 2's to the Tenere, after reading such great reviews on them.... on the Tenere, with my riding style etc, utter crap. Managed to keep them on the bike for less than 900 miles before I changed them (after getting stuck in a field, just grass nothing challenging), 700 miles of that was one road trip where they were very poor in heavy rain. I sold them to a member on here for his R, and he loves them - but he rides in warmer climates.. I considered 3's for the Tiger, again after reading good reviews, but just couldn't bring myself to part with the cash. I opted for Cont Trail Attack 2's which have been one of the best dual sport tyres I have ever used. Although I wouldn't consider them dirt orientated at all. The trail Attack 2 uses a different manufacturing process that doesn't use a greasy release agent, so the tyre is very grippy from the first turn of the wheel. They warm up quickly and after 1000 miles on the Tiger most of which was 2-up touring (with all the kit!) are still perfectly profiled (no square edges at all). Don't know how they would fair on a Tenere though. Different tyres, different bikes, different riding styles, different likes.... Tyres are a tricky subject to get any real input from, you have to try and see what works for you.
