I think that NickW909 is right. If this was a diag connector, then it shouldn’t had any voltage on it, when you turn the key into the ON position.

Also having the diag connector under the cover of the front light its….. DUCATI’s engineering…not YAMAHA’s.


Seriously, i have connected a car-cigarette plug on it , which is fixed on the handlebar, from where I power up my Garmin etrex GPS from day one. Been traveling with the GPS on for more than 4 hours continuously, most of the time off –road with a lot of bumps and vibration, and over 35-40 degrees C� (Ahhhhhh….. summer time in Greece) and had absolutely zero problems…….
