1) That is a little mistake by DynoJet who listed the PCIII only for the XTR when in fact it is designed to fit both bikes, which have the exact same engine / frame / ecu / air box etc.

3) It's not compulsory but it will open a few more doors here including personal assistance from our Australian Mech Guru
