You're right - I think the CR7E may be the iridium version? (judging by the price)...
My dealer suggested the DPR8EA-9 (which I see was in the older XT600E, and is also used in the TDM and others) would be fine as a spare/replacement... mind you, that might be because a) NGK don't list the 660 engine on their website, or b) that's all he had in stock...
Anyway, I'm sure it will work, but as you say, the correct NGK number as far as Yamaha themselves are concerned is CR7E...
