Im not too sure on the laws in europe about the restrictor but this is the most annoying bit about fitting the restrictor that once its fitted as soon as you try and break the seal of the washer type restrictor to get it off you void your insurance because its your legal responsability to have one fitted.

Also even if you do fit it, take it off for a blast around then refit it the dealer who originally fitted it cant be held responable for it not being fitted right. (Cause ive been told if you have an accident and it turns out your bike wasnt restricted properly then you get nothing basically)

Its a real pain in the arse sometimes but as i looked at it it means you get used to how the bike will handle alot better as instead of just pointing and squirting like most (newish bikers) do you now try and keep corner speed as high as possible and everyone knows thats where all the funs at. Also it means once you do get the restrictor taken off you know how the bike will handle now youve to only worry about keeping an eye on your right wrist.
