a big welcome....as for downward movement in the clutch lever, it could be that its post (the bit where it fits into) is worn which is common since the clutch lever is pulled in and out thousands and thousands of times and is alloy on alloy just grinding away and creating a bigger fitment gap, especially on city use bikes due to the miriad of gear changes versus long haul bikes.. Even a new lever won't sort that amount of free-play. Only a new clutch lever post/mount....and lever. You can't even tighten the thing too much as it's designed to crimp down to a max 'tightening' without jamming the lever.
ps ...I switched from a 145 bhp FJR, possibly the fastest armchair in the world, and a Tuono and thought I'd miss the power but it's a different mindset on the Z and way more fun to ride like this rather than missing the view....although, of course, those bikes can, possibly, be ridden at slower speeds too....

...but not off road.. It's bit like owning a 2-wheeled Landrover Defender...Enjoy..
