I have done the mods and like you did not want to take the snorkel out as do not want to get water in the box or not as easy if it is out ,What I did was take the snorkel out and cut away the bit that go’s in the air box there is about 2.5” to 3” that go’s in the box that slows or restricts the flow. Buy taking the inner bit away the air flows easier round the inner box,but you still have the benefit of the snorkel. I have the fuel mod 02 sensor mod. Stage 1 and 2 air filters. Kept Oem exhaust as my ears are bad after doing 1500 miles in 3 days with aftermarket cans on ��and now have permanently damaged my ears (badly).
