I've been looking around for modifying my xt660z Tenere '08.
Bike is completely stock as is, and the only mods I want to do are:
- Kev fuel mod
- o2 controller from Kev
and eventually:
- Single can exhaust
No filter mods.
I read a lot about the surging stopping when installing the O2 mod, but my bike doesn't surge at all, at least not that I notice.
As for the Kev fuel mod, the instructions say that with a Stage 1 filter the position should be set to 2 to 3 O'clock, this is already barely activated let alone when the stock filter is installed.
Now my question is: what benefits will I get from the O2 and Kev fuel mod with stock air filters and stock exhaust, and eventually with single can exhaust?

Both the open & closed loop AFR's are lean from the factory on these motors, the O2 controller will correct the AFR in real time in the closed loop, we use the Adjustable fuel mod to correct the open loop AFR's for a lean factory mapping & for the additions of hardware like free flow filters & pipe.
Correcting the lean AFR's in the open & closed loop does not give big gains in performance but it does give the bike a much more responsive & smoother motor. We get most of our HP gains from the added hard ware with the Air box & filter system giving the biggest HP & torque gains.
