I have a connection to a small motorcycle repair outfit I see the ‘How much mister’ every day and the normal reply is crystal ball is working !! Only one way to find out and that’s strip it so the meter is running normally followed by several days of umming and rrring which brings us back to money and make sure you can afford it because if you haven’t it’s best left alone until you have.
But when gearbox’s go belly up it’s rarely a cheap fix.
If you know the guys who are going to repair the bike well (ish) then you are into the realms of what do you call a man with a machine gun!!and go with it,alternatively pull the engine out and bring it over to the guys I know J7 M6 if it’s repairable no one will do it cheaper.
