gearbox failure is not unheard of ...does the bike go up and down the gearbox ok?..clutch working etc?..

its your money however dont 'think' who much your going to be charged...get a definate quote...see what there hourly rate is...

Maybe a good replacement engine would be a better option..unless you can find someone you trust to do the work..
