The main objective was to find somewhere suitable to pull up & use this...
And to get reacquainted with knobbly tyres.
We have had an unbelievable amount of rain brought on by Cyclone Debbie that hit up the coast from here recently. A week later & Rockhampton (100k's north) is still flooded badly from all the run off that has come down.
Today however the weather was perfect, a bit of cloud cover but no chance of rain.
Lake Awonnga on the way to Ubobo..
The dirt starts at Ubobo heading through some nice cattle property's.
If I'd parked here last week from looking at the water marks the Tenere would be completely submerged...
Lucky I'm not in a 4WD...
The 606's earning their keep. I ran over a downed barb wire fence along here but no puncture's. Phew....
Have a break...
It only looks this green for a couple of months if your lucky...
Now the 606's have a few hundred k's on them they are starting to feel as though my rims aren't covered in jelly filled caterpillars.
Some rides are just perfect. This was one of them. Roll on the next one ;-)
