Just goes to show that horsepower in the early fifties is easily attainable on the XT motor with a little extra air and fuel... and it makes them a damn sight nicer to ride too without the standard emissions-compromised fuelling.
Very true. It was running criminally lean. Factory settings are almost damaging for the bike.

But no more surging, extra power smoother pickup
