might be my misinterpretation but if your clutch plates are not in the correct order and particularly the outer most plate has its not been sat in its correct position you will get zero clutch lever movement. Also, you have to make sure your clutch 'actuation arm' fitted to the clutch cover is correctly aligned with the teeth on its drive mechanism as you replace the clutch cover over the clutch basket.
