Are you sure the aftermarket indicators were fitted with the correct 12V 10W bulbs? Any higher/lower wattage will cause slower/faster flashing. In fact they could have even been supplied with 6V bulbs, which will make them flash very quickly!

Have you checked the voltage across the battery terminals at various engine speeds? The regulator/rectifier unit could possibly be faulty and allowing unregulated voltages exceeding 14.0V as engine revs rise. System voltages higher than this will cause the indicators to flash faster (and the headlight to get brighter).
